Videogame Pioneer Tom Petit Dies At 62

 Tom Petit
DURANGO, CO -- Thomas Gill Petit died here on Nov. 21. He was 62.

Petit's 28-year career in the videogame industry included leadership positions at electronic entertainment innovators Atari Inc., Nintendo and Sega USA. He was a cofounder of Sega USA and served for eight years as its president and chief executive officer.

He retired from the videogame industry in 2004 and relocated to Colorado, where he launched a new career in ranch real estate development of TGP Investments, LLC.

Petit was a devoted outdoorsman whose passions included scuba diving and fly fishing.

He is survived by his wife Nancy. A memorial service is being planned for summer of 2018.
