CASTLE ROCK, CO -- Van Wyk Confections has made a name for itself as a leading supplier of confections to the fundraising marketplace since 2000. In recent years, it's evolved by developing innovative products and leveraging its expertise in sales and distribution to make its way onto the shelves of big-box retailers -- and, most recently, into vending machines and micromarkets.

Van Wyk has also set its sights set on expanding into gift stores, concessions, grocery, among other classes of trade.

Throughout the years, Van Wyk Confections says it has helped non-profit groups including schools, clubs, sports teams and churches, raise more than $50 million for their causes through its fundraising products, which include its signature Original One Dollar Bar and premium Chocolatiers bars.

Van Wyk Confections owner and founder Mark Van Wyk has more than 25 years of experience in the candy industry and attributes the company's success to the consistent quality and customer service that it offers. The family-owned business located in Castle Rock, CO, ships its products from 10 warehouses.

After months of product development, Van Wyk's most recent confectionary innovation, with an inspirational twist, are its gourmet, dipped Famous Fortune Cookies, which are reportedly already making a splash in micromarkets nationwide.

Mark Van Wyk set out to improve upon the iconic fortune cookie with a premium recipe and extra-special sentiments on the papers tucked inside. He and his team worked diligently to come up with phrases "that bring light to a sometimes-negative world."

"Not only are they delicious; the message inside is what makes them special.," said Seth Van Wyk, sales director at Van Wyk Confections. "This product brings light and joy to people of all ages."

The fortune cookies come in four flavors: birthday cake, cookies and cream, salted caramel and chocolate bits. Inside each cookie is a positive, uplifting message. Suggested retail value is 99¢ to $1.39. The 0.7-oz. cookies come in 36-count containers, six containers per case with nine of each flavor.

Also new are Sweet & Salty Pretzel Twists. The crunchy, salty Bavarian pretzels are dipped in premium milk chocolate and covered in crunchy toffee. The 1.41-oz. treats come in a straight pack of 4/20-count cases with a suggested retail price between $1.29 and $1.79

Rounding out the new products for vending and micromarkets are chocolate-dipped Van Sweet & Salty Pretzel Rods with four choices of toppings. Each variety pack includes 10 each of: Chocolate Chunk, Crunchy Toffee and Peanut Butter Candy Crunch. The 0.85-oz. chocolate-covered pretzel is available in a 4/30 count case and has a suggested retail value of $0.99 to $1.39.
