U-Vend Partners With Ice Cream Exchange To Develop Sports-Themed Novelties

SANTA MONICA, CA -- U-Vend Inc. said it has entered into a manufacturing agreement with the Ice Cream Exchange, which will develop, produce and package its national sports-themed ice cream products.

The Ice Cream Exchange, based in La Habra, CA, produces ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt and gelato for Whole Foods and other major grocery and chain store retailers. U-Vend said the Ice Cream Exchange has production capabilities to support 20 million units for U-Vend annually.

U-Vend Inc., headquartered in Santa Monica, CA, operates Mini Melts-branded vending machines in southern California and Las Vegas in big box retailers, shopping malls and entertainment centers. The company has said it has a licensing agreement with Major League Baseball to sell baseball-themed ice cream products through its vending machines, and at convenience and retail stores in the U.S.

For its second quarter, ended June 30, 2017, U-Vend reported that its revenues increased 15.6% to $441,156, compared with revenue of $381,481 for the three months ended June 30, 2016. Gross profits for the 2017 second quarter increased 8.4% to $219,691. The company reported a net loss of $666,409, compared with a net loss of $569,869 for the second quarter of 2016.
