SOMERSET, NJ -- Tricorp Amusements Inc., the largest independent amusement machine operator on the East Coast, is expanding its service network nationwide.

Through its newly formed entity called National Amusement Service Network, Tricorp, based here, will establish new operating offices in Orlando, FL, Dallas, Chicago, Phoenix, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Tricorp currently owns and operates more than 6,000 pieces. It provides services to 21 states through five operating offices, including corporate headquarters in New Jersey. The regional branches are located in Boston, Atlanta, Richmond, VA, and Coconut Creek, FL.

"The time is right and opportunity is in abundance," said Tricorp president and chief executive Chuck Peitz. "We will be looking to capitalize on the longstanding relationships with our East Coast partners and locations who have a national presence. Additionally, we are looking to expand relationships with those venues, FECs, bowling centers, movie theatres, pizza chains and all other locations in search of our 'Best of Breed' mentality for products and services that they deserve and will help maximize their revenues."

Peitz added that Tricorp's 30 years of experience in amusements, and strong financial relationships with manufacturers and distributors, will facilitate the expansion.

Founded in 1979, Tricorp specializes in providing amusement games to high-traffic entertainment venues. National Amusements, headquartered in Dedham, MA, was the company's first theater account. In addition to National, the company provides equipment for AMC Theaters and the Regal Entertainment Group. Regal runs some 7,000 screens in about 550 theaters in most states, making it the nation's largest theater circuit. Last year, Tricorp reportedly operated games in more than 400 theaters.
