TouchTunes Kicks Off Lollapalooza Sweepstakes

TouchTunes,NEW YORK CITY -- Lollapalooza is taking center stage on the nation's largest interactive jukebox network. Concert promoter C3 Presents and Sony's RED are teaming up with TouchTunes Interactive Networks to run a sweepstakes that offers jukebox patrons a chance to win a trip to the famed summer music festival. The promotion, now appearing on 20,000 TouchTunes jukebox screens and online, runs through July 7. Lollapalooza takes place Aug. 6-8 in Chicago's Grant Park.

What started as a touring music festival in 1991 by Jane's Addiction front man Perry Farrell, Lollapalooza has become a summer destination for thousands of music fans worldwide at historic Grant Park. Among the 130 bands and musicians set to perform at the weekend-long event are Lady Gaga, Green Day, a reunited Soundgarden, Arcade Fire, and the Strokes. TouchTunes will also feature a custom Lollapalooza playlist across its digital jukebox network. The playlist will highlight select RED artists performing at this year's festival, including Phoenix, the Temper Trap, Gogol Bordello and Matt & Kim, among many others. TouchTunes media and marketing vice-president Vicki Saunders said the digital music provider is bringing the premier music festival to jukebox patrons who can't make the trip to Grant Park.

"With over 40,000 locations around the country, TouchTunes presents a unique platform for us to introduce our artists to a new audience of music fans and engage them beyond our usual marketing channels," said RED president Bob Morrelli.
