Tigapo Plans New AI-Powered Features Release At 2019 IAAPA Expo

ORLANDO, FL -- The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions Expo here will witness the debut of new features for Tigapo’s cloud-based arcade management and monetization system designed for coin-operated machines. The company has applied neural-network and deep-learning techniques to add artificial-intelligence capabilities to the system.

According to Tigapo, the new AI functionality enables its software to predict consumer actions and trigger personalized in-app promotional messages in real time based on actual gameplay and location.

The company explained that its new machine-learning algorithm improves over time and with use -- the more data it analyzes, the more accurate it becomes in predicting complex consumer behavior. For example, it can analyze play patterns and other guest behavior to predict, with a high level of accuracy, when the guest is likely to leave the location. It then can respond with a unique offer or an incentive to encourage additional play, substantially enhancing customer engagement.

This application of artificial intelligence enables operators to implement dynamic pricing based on users’ habits, and to maximize consumer satisfaction while optimizing revenue.

In a retail location deployment this summer, on average, patrons spent 21% more money using the Tigapo app, compared with the legacy installed card-based payment system.

The Tigapo solution is an innovative combination of hardware and software designed for use with coin-operated machines; it easily integrates with existing bill validators, coin mechs and any other payment systems. It consists of an easy-to-install device with a 5” HD screen and an NFC (near field communications) antenna for device-to-device connection, with or without a smartphone, as well as taking advantage of Wi-Fi and cellular channels.

The system also may be used to remotely manage operations and drive incremental revenue, dramatically reducing costs. As a digital payment platform, Tigapo allows users to pay for services with smartphones or NFC tags thereby removing payment friction and maximizing play time
