Tigapo Appoints Industry Veteran Ted Parson As Director Of Sales

TEL AVIV, Israel and NEW YORK CITY -- Tigapo, which has developed a cloud-based arcade management and monetization system , has appointed Ted Parsons as director of sales. Parsons brings more than 30 years of achievement in the amusement and entertainment industry to his new position.

Most recently, Parsons was general manager of Helix Leisure USA Inc. (Dallas, TX). Helix is the parent company of Embed, a worldwide leader in cashless business management systems for the amusement and leisure industries, and LAI Games, a leading developer and manufacturer of amusement and arcade machines. While with Helix, Parsons oversaw business growth of 400%.

Prior to joining Helix, Parsons had been vice-president and general manager of Premier Game Co., the operator of a coin-op game route serving more than 250 locations including family entertainment centers and movie theaters. At Kahunaville, a nationwide chain of tropical-theme restaurants, Parsons was director of midway operations, opening and managing high-volume gamerooms and overseeing company expansion. Earlier in his career, he had been director of family entertainment and amusements for Carmike Cinemas (Columbus, GA), where he opened family entertainment centers and oversaw installation of games, rides and attractions.

Tel Aviv, Israel-based Tigapo recently opened U.S. offices in New York City and hired Sid Banon as chief executive of its U.S. operations. Banon, an industry veteran, cofounded The Good Stuff Co., a licensed toys and games manufacturer, and Win Stuff, a skill vending machine operation. Parsons reports directly to Banon.

"Ted's impressive and proven skillset make him a great addition to Tigapo's rollout initiatives," Banon observed. "With his depth of experience in cashless payment and amusement, Ted is well-qualified to understand the needs of operators and locations."

Tigapo is currently working with leading arcade operators to roll out its solution, which combines hardware and software designed for coin-operated machines, in the U.S., adding this country to its international clientele.

Tigapo's digital and mobile-first platform connects coin-operated machines to the cloud and collects and analyzes data in real time. This empowers operators to learn users' habits, autonomously and remotely manage operations, drive incremental revenue, and dramatically reduce costs.

As a digital payment platform, Tigapo allows users to pay for services with smartphones or NFC tags, removing "payment friction" and maximizing play time. Tigapo is currently focused on the amusement machine industry, but the platform has wide-ranging applicability.
