ROCKFORD, IL -- Arachnid Inc., a leader in soft-tip electronic darts, has been acquired by brothers Tony, Chris and Shawn Beall. The Beall brothers are the sons of one of the original Arachnid founders, Paul Beall.

Arachnid's operations will remain in Rockford, IL, with its current management team and employees.

"To this day, their passion for the coin-op industry and soft-tipped darts remains strong," said Arachnid co-president Sam Zammuto. "They are excited and optimistic about continuing and building on the success they were a part of in those crucial early years. We are extremely pleased to welcome back the Beall family to the dart business."

Paul Beall was a pioneer in the coin-operated darting field. He was awarded several patents related to electronic dart games, from scoring and targeting systems, to technology enabling visually impaired persons to accurately throw darts.
