LAS VEGAS -- With more than $100,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs, players from around the world are vying for a coveted spot at the 2017 Big Buck World Championship and Ladies Tourney. It's taking place at the Hard Rock Las Vegas on Oct. 27 and 28.

Celebrating the 10th year of what's touted as the largest arcade eSports event in the world, players start by playing their local online Big Buck HD machines frequently from May through September to qualify. The players will gather here to battle head-to-head for the $20,000 top prize, and to have their name etched on Pappy's Jug.

The public can watch the matches in person or tune in live at Twitch.tv/bigbuckhd.

Coinciding with the event, Stern Pinball Inc. will be teaming up with the International Flipper Pinball Association to host the inaugural Heads-Up Pinball Championship. The winner will be taking home a new Aerosmith Pro pinball machine and trophy.

The Heads-Up Pinball Championship will consist of head-to-head challenges in which competitors will be playing simultaneously on two different machines of the same title. The player who completes the challenge first will be declared the winner for that game.

"We love the unique, fun challenge of this intense tournament," said Stern Pinball chairman and chief executive Gary Stern. "Pairing this IFPA event with the Big Buck World Championship makes for an incredibly fun weekend at the Hard Rock. We're excited to see who takes home the gold and the Aerosmith Pro pinball machine."
