CHESSINGTON, Surrey, England -- Sega Amusements International reports that it is readying an impressive lineup of amusement equipment for its exhibit at the upcoming Bowl Expo in Las Vegas, NV. The event is set for June 26 and 27 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and the Sega line will be on display in booth 156.

“For this year’s show, we’ve got a great lineup of video and redemption games that are just right for bowling locations,” said Sega sales manager Vince Moreno. “Take for instance Transformers Shadow Rising, a blockbuster, action-packed, two-player videogame, presented in a jaw-dropping truck themed cabinet. With its global brand recognition and strong family appeal, this game has proven to be a hit at bowling centers around the world.”

Also in the video category, Sega will exhibit its top racing game, Daytona Championship USA, in standard cabinet format. Daytona features six racetracks and an experience that has proven popular with casual and committed gamers. The instant rematch feature encourages repeat play.

Sega sales manager Marty Smith observed that the company’s redemption offerings, Ball Runner and Pixel Chase, are two appealing skill-based redemption games for any operator seeking games with a striking look. Ball Runner is a relatively small-footprint piece that invites players to slide balls up the playfield on rails (runners) with the goal of hitting the lit targets and winning tickets. It combines mechanical and digital features to create a “unique fun player experience.”

Smith attributed the game’s popularity to its great simplicity. “Gameplay sees players throw as many balls into LED-lit 4x4 target holes that look like huge pixels before the timer runs out,” he explained. “Pixel Chase features an impressive modern cabinet design with bright, colorful lighting that attracts players from across the room in any FEC or bowling location.”

Visitors to the Sega exhibit also can experience Hot Racer, a game designed specifically for kids, as well as Sega’s attractive prize merchandiser, Prize Arrow.

Bowl Expo is organized annually by the Bowling Proprietors Association of America (Arlington, TX). The show is online at.
