FREEPORT, IL -- Seaga said it is partnering with Fresh Healthy Vending (San Diego, CA) to market the Fresh Healthy Vending Café, a version of the Diamante coffee machine made by Italy's Saeco and marketed by Seaga. The Freeport, IL, vending machine factory became the North American master distributor for Saeco coffee vending machines a year ago.

Fresh Healthy Vending, a business-opportunity company that sells healthy vending machine franchises, announced its entry into hot beverages in early May. Its customized Diamante vends gourmet hot beverages, along with "healthy" snacks and cold drinks. | SEE STORY

"First and foremost, as we've learned through more than 25 years of vending experience, you have to start with a durable, dependable platform and the highest quality components," said Seaga president Steve Chesney. "Fresh Healthy Vending is a company we felt an immediate bond with because of our mutual focus on quality and attention to detail."

According to Chesney, Fresh Healthy Vending is sourcing an exclusive organic blend of coffee beans for its branded combination machine.

The Diamante is a small-footprint combination machine offering nine fresh-brewed coffee and other hot drink selections; cold drinks and snacks are merchandised through a refrigerated module below the brewer. The one-stop vending system employs Saeco's paperless brew technology, which starts with fresh beans and finishes with a hot cup of coffee. Customers have the option to receive their hot drinks in a supplied cup or to use their own mugs; operators can specify tank or plumbed versions. The Diamante holds 36 cans or small bottles of water, snacks on four shelves with 24 to 30 spiral rows and 200 8-fl.oz. hot cups.
