CHARLESTON, SC -- The South Carolina Vending Association will hold its 24th annual winter conference from Jan. 27 to 29 at the historic Mills House Hotel here.

Registration is available at the SCVA website. A discounted $155 room rate is available to conference-goers through Dec. 20 by calling the hotel at (800) 874-9600 and mentioning SCVA.

A well-rounded mix of educational and social programs is on the agenda. The schedule is:

Friday, Jan. 27

» SCVA lobbyist Tom Sponseller will offer an update on legislative issues impacting the vending industry and provide a preview of the 2012 legislative session.

» A representative from the National Automatic Merchandising Association will bring conference-goers up to date on the vending association's latest initiatives, including its industry growth strategy, recent Gratitude Tour and government relations efforts.

» Golf Tournament at The Golf Club at Wescott Plantation

Saturday, Jan. 28

» Paul Schlossberg of DF/W Consulting will present a session on "maximizing your selling zones," focused on driving repeat sales. » Saturday Night Gala -- cocktail reception, dinner banquet and Minute It to Win It trivia game

Sunday, Jan. 29

» Motivational humorist Al Walker will keynote a breakfast meeting. His firm, Al Walker Assoc., is dedicated to helping businesses and individuals solve problems through its professional speaking, training and consulting services.
