Revive And LightSpeed Automation Complete Software Integration

SAN DIEGO -- Revive Self Service Café and LightSpeed Automation have completed the integration of their respective micromarket and "pick-to-light" software platforms. Palace Vending in Kingsport, TN, is the first vending operation to make use of the integrated systems.

Suwanee, GA-based LightSpeed Automation specializes in improving warehouse efficiency. Its mobile iPad picking solutions allow operators to organize the warehouse in order to pick product for their micromarkets from a designated zone. The SKUs used in micromarkets differ from vending and prekitting them by zone reduces potential mistakes. The system makes training new employees seamless to the point that many operators can use part-time help, according to LightSpeed.

Revive's micromarket operating system was originally developed by a small vending operator. The company has built its business by combining the simplicity and adaptability of that original platform with the sophistication of proven, task-specific software partners such as LightSpeed.

Revive vice-president of sales and marketing Joe Loparco credited Palace Vending's John Nottingham and his team for doing the onsite "heavy lifting" required as the first operator to implement Revive's integrated solution with LightSpeed Automation.

"Our unique, no commission, low maintenance fee business model in the micromarket segment is dedicated to putting more profit in our customers' pockets," Loparco said. "Joining forces with LightSpeed will help increase the margins that our customers will earn."
