Ohio Coin Machine Distribution Veteran Jerome Grotjan Dies At 82

CINCINNATI -- Jerome (Jerry) Grotjan died here on Jan. 6 at the age of 82.

Grotjan began his career with Royal Distributing  Corp. and became a well-known and well-liked figure in the coin machine industry. He subsequently served with Monroe Distributing Inc. (Fairfield, OH), then as branch manager with Atlas Distributing (Cincinnati) and finally with Shaffer Distributing (Columbus).

He is survived by son Jeffrey, daughters Julie and Nicole, grandchildren Tara, Alison, Ross, Scott and Brooke, and great-grandchildren Chad, Josephine and Julianna.

Services for Grotjan will be held on Friday, Jan. 11 at 12 p.m. in St. Boniface Catholic Church, where family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon.

Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to the St. Boniface Church Building Fund.
