ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL - Incredible Technologies today informed distributors that it will discontinue production of the "Touch-IT" touchscreen countertop product line. Citing both internal and external challenges, IT said it is withdrawing from this market segment and has no plans to re-launch the line. "We made this decision after looking realistically at a very difficult market and recent advances that our competitors have made in touchscreen games," said a company spokesman. "We also had to accept the fact that IT simply could not overcome the loss of 'Touch-IT' project leader Chuck Zenkus in a traffic accident one month before the product's debut at 2002's AMOA Expo. We have put all available resources into developing the next generation of our popular 'Golden Tee' series."

ITASCA, IL , News that the Amusement and Music Operators Association will conduct next year's AMOA International Expo Oct. 7-9, 2004, has ruffled some feathers among European trade members. AMOA officers said they changed show dates to avoid conflict with the Jewish holidays, and took the only comparable available dates at the Las Vegas Convention Center. But according to Kevin Williams of The Stinger Report, some trade members , particularly exhibitors , in Europe are concerned that AMOA's new dates will make it difficult for manufacturers to exhibit equipment at all of the fall shows. The fall show season is expected to begin with the JAMMA Show in Tokyo (early October), followed by AMOA Expo (Oct. 7-9), the London Preview (usually held during the second week of October), the FER Interazar in Spain (typically the first week of October), Forbes Expo in Prague, the Czech Republic (mid-October), the Enada 2004 in Rome (typically mid-October), and SurExpo 2004 in Poland.
