OCS And Bottled Water Delivery Giant Cott Corp. To Acquire Crystal Rock Holdings For $35 Million

WATERTOWN, CT -- Crystal Rock Holdings Inc. said it will be acquired by bottled water delivery and office coffee service giant Cott Corp. for 97¢ per share in cash, totaling $35 million.

Crystal Rock Holdings Inc., operating through its subsidiary Crystal Rock LLC, is based in Watertown, CT, and markets and distributes water and coffee service, office supplies, cold beverages and other breakroom items to the commercial office and home markets throughout the Northeast.

Cott, based in Mississauga, Canada, is a route-based service company with a national presence in the North America and European home and office bottled water delivery and OCS market.  Cott says its platform reaches more than 2.3 million customers or delivery points across North America and Europe supported by strategically located sales and distribution facilities and fleets, as well as wholesalers and distributors.

Crystal Rock will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cott. As a result of the acquisition, Crystal Rock shares will cease to be traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

The transaction is expected to close in March.
