ELMHURST, IL -- Digital jukebox maker NSM Music Inc. has relocated to a new building here. NSM's new address is 447 Fullerton Ave., Unit 489, Elmhurst, IL 60126 -- less than a mile from its former home at 650 West Grand Ave. in the same city.

NSM vice-president of operations Tony Lantz said the new space has already improved communications between the company's parts and service departments, and its sales and service teams.

"We offer thousands of jukebox parts and we service dozens of jukeboxes, from CD models going all the way back to the '80s to our latest digital boxes," Lantz explained. "In our old space, the parts and service departments were in different sections of the building. Now we are all in one big area. This is going to greatly improve our service levels."

In related news, NSM's new website, located at, is live. The main menu includes informative pages about digital jukeboxes, with sections dedicated to jukebox hardware and software. A new blog hosts posts from NSM employees, customers and special guests. Readers can subscribe to the NSM Music Blog at

Separately, NSM announced that its entire digital jukebox lineup now includes MEI bill validators as standard equipment. The company said it previously used another manufacturer's low-cost validator, but they were too costly to service.

"We had several multi-unit bar owners who each purchased one of our digital downloading jukebox models," said NSM senior vice-president Bob Cooney. "When I followed up with them to see why they had not purchased additional boxes, I was told flatly that the inferior bill acceptors we were using were causing them too many service issues in their bars."

NSM markets three digital downloading jukebox models employing touchscreen technology: the Icon Lite (19" LCD), the Fusion (32" LCD) and the Icon2. In the U.S., these boxes access NSM's own digital music library. They will now ship with bill validators in MEI's Cashflow AE Series.

NSM Music Inc. is the U.S. division of the NSM Music Group, which has offices in England, Ireland and Germany. NSM was founded in Bingen, Germany, in 1951 by Herbert Nack, Gerhard W. Schulze and Wilhelm Menkeand. It is now headquartered in Leeds, England. It was the first jukebox manufacturer to be awarded the Phonographic Performance License for dubbing and downloading music in Europe.
