PHOENIX -- The National Bulk Vendors Association said it's reactivating its scholarship program after a two-year respite. It will return with a dedicated fundraising effort during the upcoming NBVA convention and trade show, March 14-16. Collocated with Amusement Expo, the convention will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

To raise money for the scholarship, the NBVA will be holding a raffle during its convention at $5 per ticket. Tickets will be available at the convention registration booth, on the exhibit floor and during the annual NBVA Awards dinner. According to association officials, 100% of the money raised will go towards the scholarship. The association is also encouraging its members to donate products for the raffle as well as separate cash donations to be used in a matching program or for the establishment of a scholarship named for an individual.

The NBVA will award its first scholarship winners during the association's general meeting at the Las Vegas-based convention on March 16. Eligible students must be the sons and daughters or grandchildren of an NBVA member or NBVA member employee. Specific dollar amounts will be granted at the discretion of NBVA's scholarship committee.

Founded in 1950, NBVA represents the interests of operators, manufacturers and distributors of bulk vending machines and bulk-vended products in the U.S. and abroad.
