CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association will conduct its 2018 Executive Development Program from Oct. 21 through 25 at Michigan State University (E. Lansing, MI).

As it does every year, the NAMA Foundation will award four EDP scholarships to aspiring leaders affiliated with member companies. In collaboration with NAMA’s Emerging Leaders Network, the  Foundation will award one of the scholarships to a member of ELN.

Applications are now being accepted for these scholarships.  The deadline to apply is Aug. 1.

To be eligible for a NAMA Foundation scholarship to EDP, an applicant must be a full-time employee of a NAMA member company in good standing,  involved in the convenience services industry for at least five years. A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s manager must be included with the application.

NAMA’s Executive Development Program was conceived to correct a perceived shortage of qualified middle managers in vending operations. EDP now is designed for potential leaders in all aspects of convenience services. The intensive five-day course helps students “think like a CEO” and move their careers to the next level. Participants will come away with a better understanding of the industry, and with tools for improving their leadership skills and advancing their careers.

The NAMA Scholars program is funded annually through voluntary contributions made to the NAMA Foundation. Additional information, and the opportunity to make a donation, may be found online at
