CHICAGO -- The National Automatic Merchandising Association's OneShow will move to Las Vegas for its 2012 run. It's set for April 25-27 at the Venetian Hotel and adjacent Sands Expo and Convention Center.

Chicago-based NAMA combined its long-running national, held in the fall, and spring expositions into the single trade show in 2010. For the first two years, the nation's largest vending, office coffee service convention was held at Chicago's McCormick Place.

The 2012 confab in Las Vegas will come on the heels of the first full year since NAMA launched its Industry Growth Strategy. The vending association will share the results of its efforts to date, including the high-profile Gratitude Tour vending road show, which stopped in seven cities this fall, and its Vend.Love.Win. Facebook campaign that launched last summer.

NAMA officials also will unveil future plans for the wide-reaching IGS initiative primarily aimed at building upon Generation Y's already strong affinity for using vending machines.

OneShow organizers are expecting more than 230 exhibitors at the Las Vegas show. They are planning a lineup of educational sessions, legislative updates, networking opportunities and entertainment, the details of which will be announced as they are formalized.

Attendance in 2011 was up more than 11% over 2010, which was higher than the two separate 2009 NAMA shows combined, according to LyNae Schleyer, senior director of NAMA's OneShow and education. "In 2012, we expect even more stellar attendance due to all the buzz going on in our industry right now, not to mention the fact that Las Vegas is a terrific destination for both business and pleasure," she said.

The OneShow 2012 early-bird registration rate for NAMA members is $79 through Feb. 15. Additional information is available at
