AUCKLAND, New Zealand -- New Zealand's MTV show Just Tattoo of Us has launched a unique promotion for its second season. According to local press reports, the show is offering fans a chance to get a temporary tattoo using state-of-the-art technology. The system, called Prinker, developed by the South Korean company SketchOn, prints a temporary tattoo directly onto an individual's skin.

As part of the promotion, Kiwis will put their arm or hand inside the machine to get one of 20 random show-themed tattoos printed with cosmetic ink. The tats, according to the show's producers and SketchOn, last just a few days and can be washed off with soap and water.

The vender is an adaptation of the company's personal hand-held temporary tattoo device. That device allows users to design and upload designs and words for personalized temporary tattoos from a variety of digital devices. However, the MTV promotion is the first time the system has been used in a vending format.
