BLOOMINGTON, MN — The Minnesota Operators of Music and Amusements has announced the recipients of its annual scholarships. Seven applicants have been awarded $1,000 scholarships for the 2017-18 school year.

Since 1991, MOMA has raised more than $100,000 in scholarship funds that have been granted to deserving college-bound students sponsored by member companies of the association. They're available to the children of association member companies as well as to participants in its pool and dart leagues. The funds that students receive can be used for books, tuition, or room and board.

This year's recipients are Austin Kueck, sponsored by American Amusement Arcades (Bloomington, MN), to attend Eastern Illinois University; Hailee Stock and Colton Hines, sponsored by D&R Star (Rochester, MN) for Minnesota State University - Mankato; Taylor Hansen, sponsored by D&R Star for studies at Lindenwood University; Katelynn Larson, sponsored by Theisen Vending (Golden Valley), for the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Business Management; Ridge Hokens, sponsored by AAA, to attend Iowa State University; and Michaela Spielberger, sponsored by Theisen, for Drake University.

MOMA's mission is to bring together members of the coin/currency-activated amusement industry for mutual social and business interests. The association sponsors statewide Pool League and Dart League Associations through which thousands of individuals on teams from throughout the state compete on a weekly basis in the leagues organized and promoted by MOMA member companies.
