MILWAUKEE, WI -- Mark Robbins of Gold Standard Games (Bay City, MI) reported that the company had a strong presence at this year’s Midwest Gaming Classic. The event was held in the Wisconsin Center here from April 12 through 14.

The Midwest Gaming Classic is a trade show featuring more than 150,000 sq.ft. of retro and modern home videogame consoles, pinball machines, arcade videogames, computers, tabletop games, crane games, collectible card games, air hockey equipment and a range of special-interest diversions.

Gold Standard has provided air-hockey tables for public play at the event, and sponsored an air hockey tournament at last year’s Classic.

This year, in addition to opening tables up for public play and “challenge the pro” exhibitions, Gold Standard arranged a challenge match between current Women’s Champion Sarah Weissman (Houston, TX) and challenger Allison DiMichele (Chicago, IL). Weissman retained her title by winning four sets to two (20 games to 14) in a hard-fought contest that, Robins noted, was viewed by many spectators over the course of several hours.

Further information about air hockey promotions may be had by calling Robbins at (989) 893-1739.

The Midwest Game Classic is coordinated by Milwaukee's GOAT Store LLC (GOAT is short for Games Of All Types), a leading supplier of new and used amusement products.
