Mickey Truck Appoints Weber HR Director, Turpin Plant Manager

HIGH POINT, NC -- Mickey Truck Bodies has announced the appointment of two military veterans to key positions in the organization.

Melanie Weber joins Mickey as director of human resources; she reports directly to president Mike Tucker. Weber comes to the company from CPP Global (Mocksville, NC), where she served as human resources director. Prior to that, she was senior manager, Human Resources for CV Products Consolidated (Thomasville, NC). She served in the U.S. Navy from 2001 through 2008.

Weber is Six Sigma Certified and holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Human Resource Management.

Turpin is appointed plant manager for Mickey's Berwick, PA, manufacturing facility. He joins Mickey Truck Bodies from Taylor Bros. Construction (Columbus, IN). In addition to his engineering duties, he was responsible for procurement and process improvement. Turpin served with the U.S. Army from 1997 to 2018, attaining the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel and holding a top secret/SCI security clearance. Among posts he filled during his career were battalion commander, brigade planning and operations officer, brigade executive officer and fires and targeting officer.

He holds a Master of Arts in Business & Organizational Security Management from Webster University (St. Louis, MO), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Penn State University.

Mickey Truck Bodies has been privately owned and operated by the Mickey family since its formation in 1904. Mickey manufactures all-aluminum truck bodies and trailers for many industries, including beverage, vending, automotive battery, propane tanks, moving, emergency services and oil and gas.
