Megatouch Games, video game BRISTOL, PA -- Megatouch LLC has released its 2014 software for the Ion countertop game system. The update is the ninth since the Ion platform's debut. Highlights include enhanced Educational Attract Screens and 14 new games, 10 of which provide Tournamaxx support.

Megatouch 2014 is headlined by Milky Way Mini Golf, in which players test their skills on an "outer space" golf course with planets, suns and black hole obstacles; and Cardboard Chaos: Zombie Edition, an "undead" take on a classic carnival shooter. Other new attractions include Air Guardian: Escape, a retro-style arcade game in which players must pilot a helicopter over (and under) obstacles without crashing; and Ice Rift, a simple-to-learn but challenging game in which players must form enough circles to crack through the ice at the bottom of the screen before time runs out.

Bottletop Drop challenges players to touch, drag and drop an assortment of craft beer bottletops to make matches of three or more. It offers 35 rounds of fast and furious gameplay.

Megatouch 2014 also includes two new card games and three dice poker games. Clocker Solitaire is described as "a stylish twist on traditional solitaire," with Symbol versions also available. Final Table: Blackjack incorporates an "Aces up your Sleeve" feature that puts the odds back in the player's favor. And a choice of games is available to players seeking to win the jackpot in Final Table: 5 Dice Poker, Penthouse 5 Dice Poker, and Hunks 5 Dice Poker.

TriTowers, a perennial player favorite and moneymaker for operators, returns in a new version. TriTowers II is enhanced with stunning graphics and 15 brand-new card layouts to provide an engrossing sequel to one of the most popular Megatouch games of all time. Again, a Symbols version is available. Similarly, Photo Hunt Expedition III builds on the popularity of its predecessors, offering a profusion of hidden objects throughout its 19 all-new levels.

"For Megatouch 2014, we wanted to create games that were completely new to the Megatouch experience, but also maintain that familiar Megatouch feel," said Megatouch director of products and marketing Bill Layne. "Something like Cardboard Chaos is a new concept on a Megatouch, but everyone is immediately familiar with a carnival shooter game. The games are simple to learn, but quickly become an addictive challenge so they'll keep players engaged with the machine and increase coin drop."

Megatouch also created a number of new Educational Attract Screens, specifically designed to capture the attention of patrons in a bustling bar and entice them to interact with the Megatouch machine.

The new software is available for purchase now, through local distributors. It's also available for download to connected Ion machines, making it simple for operators to upgrade and get the most out of their countertop investment.
