May 6, 2005: New NAMA Website Goes Live; CT Operator Calls For Cig Vendors To File Suit

CHICAGO - A new website offering vending, coffee service and on-site food management industry professionals detailed information on everything from industry statistics to today's top industry headlines and a library of reference articles is now available at, thanks to a new initiative from the National Automatic Merchandising Association.


One of the site's most innovative features is "Build Your Own Plan-O-Gram," which enables registered users to build a vending machine planner that can be continually changed and updated. In the site's Accounting section, members can use the Business Valuation Calculator to get a rough estimate of their business is worth, or learn more about basic audit procedures. In the Terminology section, members can access an alphabetized list of industry terms and phrases, and in the Insights section members can read a host of articles dispensing advice about a variety of vending and coffee service issues. Thanks to research provided by Crane's InfoVend, members can access a Knowledge Base offering details on top selling items. The site also reports on industry statistics with highlights from NAMA's popular Wage Rates & Benefits survey and Operating Ratio Report.
