LONDON -- Marston's Telecoms (Wolverhampton, England) reports that it will present its prototype gaming network at the upcoming EAG International Expo and Visitor Attraction Expo. The event is set for the ExCeL convention facility here from January 15 through 17.

Marston's Telecoms is a subsidiary of one of the UK's leading brewers and chain restaurant/tavern operators. It explains that it has worked with Waypoint Leisure (Huddersfield, England) to create a managed, secure, resilient network solution for gaming and entertainment equipment.

According to Marston's Telecom, its new network is designed for retailers, operators, manufacturers and game developers, offering them the ability to access their data in order to facilitate content management at each site. It ensures that on-site hardware can be monitored and controlled in real time, and that the latest games, patches and upgrades can be uploaded over a private network connection without the need for a site visit.

Marston's Telecoms' gaming network is described as a highly encrypted wireless interface that provides a reliable and secure connection for gaming and entertainment machines, including amusement with prize (AWP) and skill with prize (SWP) pieces as well as pool tables, jukeboxes and other compliant machines. It supports cashless payments and payouts, and is said to be Level 1 PCI compliant and fully managed,  designed as a cost-effective way to increase gaming income across the amusement and leisure industry.

For more than a decade, Marston's Telecoms has provided telephone, broadband and mobile services to its parent company, Marston's Plc and other major pub operating companies. This experience has given it a thorough  understanding of the industry's requirements and the ability to develop  solutions to fulfill customer needs.

Marston's Telecoms will demonstrate a working model of its new network in Booth 322 at EAG & VAE.
