M&Ms Chocolate Bar

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ -- Slated for industry debut at the National Automatic Merchandising Association's OneShow is the M&M's Chocolate Bar from Mars Chocolate North America. The manufacturer describes the new product as a combination of creamy, smooth milk chocolate and the "colorful candy fun" of the M&M's brand. It is Kosher certified.

Mars reports that consumers have been enthusiastic about the M&M's Chocolate Bar during product development, with 70% expressing purchase interest. The new confection ranked top in performance across all other measures too, including "uniqueness" and "trial." The company added that the M&M's brand has the highest rate of repeat among its buyers, compared to all other top chocolate brands, and the highest rate of loyalty among chocolate brands.

The M&M's Chocolate Bar, in 1.5-oz. portion size, will be available in the vending, convenience store, grocery, drug, mass, specialty and value market segments starting in May of this year.

Mars Chocolate North America will display its popular confection lines in booth No. 601 of this year's OneShow, which is set for April 24 through 26 at the Sands in Las Vegas.
