GLENVIEW, IL -- Kraft Foodservice has rolled out a single-serve refrigerated bagel-and-cream cheese snack for vending. Called Bagel-fuls, the pre-wrapped convenience item features a golden crust and the soft texture of a traditional bagel, and a generous filling of Kraft's famous Philadelphia brand cream cheese.

Bagel-fuls are making their debut in two varieties: Original (a classic bagel filled with plain cream cheese) and Cinnamon (a cinnamon and brown sugar bagel with a cinnamon cream cheese filling). Both offer 14-day refrigerated shelf-life, and represent wholesome grab-and-go breakfast options for vending patrons.

Kraft pointed out that Bagel-fuls help vendors capitalize on the popularity of bagels and cream cheese, without undertaking the preparation and cleanup involved in assembling the breakfast favorite in a commissary. Their convenience also saves time for patrons by eliminating the need to use portion-packed cream cheese and utensils. They come in 3.5-oz. colorfully-imprinted clear fin-sealed packages, 45 per case; suggested vend price is $1.

A recent survey conducted for Kraft disclosed that more than half of all mothers are more likely to skip breakfast than any other meal, and that 60% of mothers would eat breakfast more often if they could take a favorite food with them, or find it at their destinations.

"Most people realize the importance of a good breakfast, but during hectic mornings they don't often have the time to prepare a warm, satisfying breakfast before getting out the door," said Tim Rech, senior business manager for Convenient Meals at Kraft Foodservice. "Bagel-fuls offer the taste of a conventional bagel, but in a convenient form that can be enjoyed on-the-go."
