K-Cup vending machine, Koffee Karousel SOUTH WINDSOR, CT -- A new tabletop vending machine offers locations a way to control K-Cup inventory and charge for the single-cup packs. Made by South Windsor, CT-based KK Manufacturing LLC, the mechanical, coin-operated Koffee Karousel can be configured to vend a pack for 25¢, 50¢ and 75¢ (with quarters), or with a $1 coin. It can also be set for free-vend mode.

To make a K-Cup purchase, the user turns a wheel to rotate an eight-slot display to the desired selection. After inserting the required coins, the user twists the handle and retrieves the product from the bottom slot.

The machine holds up to 88 units. It measures 10" wide x 10" deep x 33" tall and weighs 26 lbs. An optional 26" high chrome floor stand is available, and custom logos can be printed and adhered to the face of the machine.

KK Manufacturing founder Paul Striebel and his father Edmund, a retired engineer, designed Koffee Karousel's prototype using a toy egg vending machine as a base. After devoting two years to perfecting their design, the duo traveled to China last year where they sourced a manufacturer for their machine. It entered production in October and several hundred of the venders are already in the field, according to Paul.

Koffee Karousel is available in the U.S. through several vending distributors and office supply houses. In Canada, it's sold exclusively by Brokerhouse Distributors Inc. and André Labbée Inc.
