WATERBURY, VT -- Keurig Green Mountain is thinking outside the capsule with the launch of its Eccellenza Touch bean-to-cup brewer.

The machine was developed by VKI Technologies Inc., which Keurig purchased in 2011. Founded in 1947, VKI has evolved into a world leader in the design and manufacturing of single-cup brewing systems. It now operates as a division of Keurig Canada Inc.

With a high-definition 10.1" touchscreen that displays images of each beverage, Eccellenza Touch simplifies the beverage selection process and prepares a freshly ground cup of coffee or specialty beverage in seconds. There are three brewing strengths and three cup sizes (8, 10 and 12 fl.oz.). For espresso-style beverages, users can choose a 3-fl.oz., 3.7-fl.oz. or 4.7-fl.oz. cup size.

The brewer has two coffee bean dispensers and three for soluble products; each holds 2.25 lbs. It measures 28" H. x 20" W. x 20.25" D., weighs 79.2 lbs., and requires 120-V. AC 60-Hz power. It can be plumbed with 3/4" standard hose connection or operated with a pump and bottled water.
