SEARCH TERM WATERBURY, VT -- Keurig Green Mountain Inc. has introduced the K-Mug, which brews a large travel mug in Keurig 2.0 home brewers.

K-Mugs are formulated to deliver the quality and flavor strength to which Keurig 2.0 users are accustomed when brewing into a 12-, 14- and 16-fl.oz. travel mug, larger than a cup but smaller than a carafe. With the introduction of the new capsule, Keurig 2.0 users now have nine brew settings from which to choose, ranging in size from 4 fl.oz. to a four-cup carafe.

K-Mugs will launch with Green Mountain Coffee Breakfast Blend, Dark Magic and French Vanilla, along with The Original Donut Shop Regular and Donut House Collection Donut House Coffee.

With the K-Mug introduction, three of the four capsule formats available for the Keurig 2.0 system -- K-Carafe, K-Mugs and Vue -- are recyclable. Their plastic cup is made from polypropylene (#5) plastic, and can be separated from the lid and filter for recycling. Keurig has said its target is to gradually transition to 100% of its K-Cups being recyclable by 2020.
