KAMC Plans Family-Friendly Meeting: June 22-24

BURKESVILLE, KY -- The Kentucky Automatic Merchandising Council, a state council of the National Automatic Merchandising Association, will hold its annual membership meeting from June 22 to 24 here at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park. KAMC is encouraging industry members to bring their families for a weekend of fun.

Friday, June 22

Morning » Recreation tops the agenda, beginning with a morning round of golf at the Dale Hollow Golf Course. (KAMC will contribute $25 toward fees for those who choose to participate.)

All day » Breakfast and lunch will be provided to all convention-goers at their leisure in the lodge and they have the whole day to enjoy the resort's many outdoor activities, including swimming, boating, fishing, miniature golf, shuffleboard and hiking.

6:30 p.m. » Family luau.

9 p.m. to 11 p.m. » 6:30 p.m. » After-dinner reception.

Saturday, June 23

8:30 a.m. to noon » KAMC annual membership meeting.

Afternoon » Open.

7 p.m. » Family cookout and corn hole tournament.

At Saturday's meeting, a representative from the Kentucky Retail Federation and NAMA southern regional legislative director Sheree Edwards will offer updates on the legislative developments and regulatory issues impacting the vending industry at the state and federal levels, respectively.

A special guest will be Kentucky House Representative Steven Riggs (D-Louisville), who will discuss the importance of vending operators building relationships with their legislators to stay abreast of what is happening in the state capital and maintain an open dialogue as to how it may impact their businesses.

Convention registration fees are $100 per adult and $40 for each child. For hotel reservations, call (800) 325-2282 and mention KAMC for a reduced room rate by May 10. KAMC is urging meeting-goers to make their hotel reservations early as rooms are filling up fast and are likely to sell out in advance of the reservation date.

Golfers must contact the Dale Hollow Golf Course directly at (800) 325-2282 and ask for the pro shop for fees and to set up tee times.
