WHEELING, IL -- Pinball machine fans lucky enough to attend this year's Pinball Expo here had the first look at Dialed In, a new flipper game from Jersey Jack that integrates smartphones and classic coin-op.

Jersey Jack Pinball Inc.'s Dialed In is an original concept game by Pat Lawlor. It's the legendary designer's first pin table in a decade, and it's the first machine to give players the ability to unlock additional capabilities through their smartphones.

Lawlor began designing pinball machines in 1987. He produced 18 games between then and 2007, including the all-time bestselling The Addams Family, released in 1992 by Midway under the Bally label. Twilight Zone and Roadshow were among his other hit games.

"We are so excited to finally be able to share Pat Lawlor's new game with our fans," said Jersey Jack Pinball founder Jack Guarnieri. "Dialed In embodies our companywide mission to bring premium, no-compromise games to our fans, with features that have never been seen before in a pinball game."

Dialed in will be available in summer 2017 in a collector's version ($12,500) and a limited edition ($9,000). Both models will feature original art by illustrator John Youssi, player-controlled audio jacks, a five-speaker stereo surround sound system and high-def LCD screens. The machine's Bluetooth connection syncs with players' smartphones. The manufacturer advises that it plans to produce only a limited amount of both models.

Dialed In is Jersey Jack's third table. The other two, The Wizard of Oz and The Hobbit, are based on movies.

During Pinball Expo, which was held Oct. 12-16 at the Westin Chicago North Shore Hotel, Jersey Jack also showed the latest game in its Hobbit series. The Hobbit Black Arrow, a special edition named after the arrow that kills Smaug, is distinct in that it incorporates full black body armor and legs, black steel balls and accessories, and a gold Smaug character.
