ST. LOUIS, MO -- Intercard is demonstrating its enhanced Edge Mobile App Collection at the upcoming DEAL Show in Dubai, UAE from March 25 to 27, and at the Amusement Expo International in Las Vegas, NV, on March 26 and 27. This year marks the 25th presentation of DEAL (the Dubai Entertainment Amusement and Leisure show) and the 11th annual staging of Amusement Expo.

Intercard's Edge Collection is a suite of management application programs for iOS and Android smartphones. It's built on the company's groundbreaking iService app, introduced in 2017. iService is a mobile tool that enables operators to track and manage every arcade game at one or several locations. For example, an operator can take a game out of service for maintenance without visiting the site, and the technician can use it to report and record repair information, and when the game was returned to operational status. All information is automatically updated on the server, and available to authorized users through the Cloud.

The latest Edge Collection on display in Dubai and Las Vegas incorporates two new apps, Intercard Upshot and an Inventory app. Upshot is a card management app that FEC proprietors can provide to their customers under their own brands. The app allows patrons to easily add value to one or many game cards directly from their mobile devices — no need to interrupt the game action to go to a kiosk. Customers  can even recharge cards before arriving at the location.

The Inventory app assists staff in maintaining their merchandise and redemption inventory by providing easy access to inventory logs and the ability to adjust inventory. All of this can be done from an Android or iOS mobile device, reducing the labor and equipment cost of inventory management and eliminating mistakes.

Doing the honors for Intercard at the DEAL show will be chief executive Scott Sherrod and Alberto Borrero, senior vice-president of international sales, who will welcome visitors to booth D73 in Hall 4 in the Dubai World Trade Centre.

"Intercard has been leading the way with cashless technology in the Middle East since Encounter Zone, the first FEC in the region, opened in Wafi Mall in Dubai more than 20 years ago," Borrero recalled. "Encounter Zone featured the region's first debit card system, and Intercard's continued innovations and renowned customer service have made its technology the most-used in the market."

North America sales manager Bill Allen will emcee the enhanced Edge Collection debut at the Amusement Expo, and greet visitors to the company's newly-restyled and updated booth #1018 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Allen observed that "since 2017, Intercard has been leading the way in harnessing the potential of mobile technology to change the way FEC operators interact with their customers and their businesses.

"The Edge Mobile App Collection allows users of Intercard cashless management systems to manage everything from marketing to game sales to redemption inventory," he explained – "whenever and from wherever they want." Operators planning to attend the Amusement Expo can contact Allen at to schedule a meeting.

Founded in 1979, Intercard has grown into a leader in cashless technology for the amusement and attraction industries, with hundreds of systems, thousands of readers and millions of cards in use in more than 4,000 locations around the globe. It presently maintains branches in Europe and Asia in addition to its St. Louis headquarters.
