ST. LOUIS, MO -- Intercard reports that it has completed the installation of a debit card system at the new Funscape family entertainment center located in the Beirut, Lebanon Business Center. The 38,000-sq.ft. facility was opened in December, 2017 by Robert's Group (Beirut, Lebanon), one of Intercard's top Middle Eastern customers. The announcement was made on the eve of the Dubai Entertainment Amusement and Leisure show (DEAL) in the United Arab Emirates, at which Intercard is exhibiting its products.

Robert's Group designed the new FEC, supplied and will maintain all the equipment and trained the operations staff. The project was completed in just four months.

Robert's Group, headquartered in Beirut, Lebanon, is a major amusement provider in the Middle East and Africa. Founded in 1972 by Robert Elias, it is a long-time Intercard customer.

Funscape uses Intercard's multifunctional debit card management technology, as well as an iGuardian system that pairs children with their guardians and monitors their activity for greater safety and security while visiting.

Robert's Group also has launched a family entertainment center in Luanda, Angola. Called Império Kids, the 17,000-sq.ft. facility features a trampoline zone, a playground and a 45-piece arcade with an automatic prize redemption center. It's part of Luanda's popular Belas Shopping mall, Angola's first shopping center.

"Robert's Group is one of the leading amusement providers in the Middle East and Africa and we have partnered with them for many years," says Alberto Borrero, Intercard's senior vice-president of international sales. "All of its locations use Intercard's readers, kiosks and redemption control products."

Robert's Group of Lebanon has provided consulting services, distributed arcade games and delivered turnkey solutions to family amusement centers in Africa and the Middle East since 1972.
