IAAPA Names Hutcheson Family Entertainment Center Program Manager

Leslie Hutcheson, IAAPA, FEC ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions has appointed Leslie Hutcheson manager of IAAPA's family entertainment center programs.

Hutcheson will serve as primary contact for FEC members of the association and as staff liaison to the FEC Committee. In those roles, she will coordinate content for the FEC online community, engage in FEC-focused social media, oversee production of the FunExtra newsletter and help develop education for FEC operators.

IAAPA's new FEC pro brings varied marketing and communication experience to her new post. Hutcheson has worked with well-known operations including SportsWorld (Kitchener, ON, Canada), Funfuzion at New Roc City (New Rochelle, NY) and Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament (Irving, TX). She also is a longtime IAAPA volunteer, having served two terms on the association's board of directors and chaired major committees including FEC, human resource, strategic planning, financial management and IT. She has served on the board of directors for K-W Oktoberfest Inc., Attractions Ontario and Tourism Toronto.

Founded in 1918, IAAPA is the largest international trade association for permanently situated amusement facilities and attractions. Its 2013 convention and trade show is slated for the Orange County Convention Center (Orlando, FL), Nov. 18-22.
