LAS VEGAS -- Holiday House Distributing is marketing a new line of water filters that includes 14 models in three categories offering the most in-demand and often-used filtration features. Homeland Water Filters are 100% manufactured in the United States, said Holiday House, which is introducing the line today at the National Automatic Merchandising Association's OneShow in Las Vegas.

Land O' Lakes, FL-based Holiday House has partnered with Omnipure Filter Co., a 40-year-old water filter manufacturer, to create Homeland Water Filters, which are said to simplify filtration. Each is coded with a colored band so users can easily recognize a filter's primary purpose without having to read the fine print on its label. A filter's purpose can include reduction of lead, cyst, lime scale, chlorine or odor reduction (or all of these impurities), and provide bacteriostatic control.

"We've taken our 30+ years of expertise, along with Omnipure's top-notch engineering and manufacturing capabilities, to design water filters specifically for the OCS, vending, coffee and water industries, that are made to our specifications and NSF certification standards," said Holiday House president Butch Winkler. He added that the new product line is manufactured with the same attention to quality and reliability as the industry's best water filters.

According to Winkler, operators who purchase Homeland Water Filters do not need to replace entire water filtration systems. They fit all Homeland heads and common heads, and as the filter line expands, it will continue to adapt.

"We did our homework and the results are A+," emphasized Winkler, who added that Holiday House's customers provided much of the product design input, some of it indirectly through their requests for specific filter features over the years. "And because they are made in the United States, we can ensure that our quality control, supply-chain logistics and inventory management are top of the line, all of which translates to better products and service for our customers," he explained.

Holiday House Distributing offers more than 6,000 parts and products for vending, OCS and water delivery, along with Brew-Tek coffee machines and Kool-Tek water coolers. The company is stocking Homeland Water Filters at its warehouses in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York, as well as Canada.

For every sale of a Homeland Water Filter, Holiday House will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Fisher House Foundation Inc. The foundation provides temporary lodging, food and transportation to the families of injured soldiers and veterans, allowing families to be together while a member of the military receives medical treatment away from home.

There are three series of Homeland Water Filters, picture above and described here:

1. Coffee brewing and ice: Includes five standard filters, and two of them are inline so they can provide fresh and clean water for coffee and ice applications. All five filters reduce chlorine, unwanted taste and odor for high-quality beverage applications. They are equipped with bacteriostatic agent KDF and reduce lime scale to protect machine equipment.

2. Office water and vending: Consists of seven of the most in-demand filters, including a sediment-only filter, all of which are ideal for office water and vending applications. Three specific cartridges reduce chlorine, unwanted taste and odor, lime scale, cysts and lead, and are equipped with a bacteriostatic control agent. This is the largest series.

3. Espresso: Introduces two water-softening cartridges to reduce hardness in water that can cause minerals like calcium and magnesium to build up in espresso equipment. Both reduce lime scale and one also reduces chlorine, unwanted taste and odor. Replacement is quick and user-friendly, and internal equipment is never exposed to contamination. Espresso requires pure, sediment-free water and these filters provide the best cost-to-performance ratio.
