HERSHEY, PA -- For the first time in its 125-year history, Hershey Co.’s iconic namesake brand is changing the look of its original milk chocolate bar and transforming each piece to include an emoji.

The new Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Emoji Bars will feature 25 of the most popular emojis across six different emoji packaging designs -- all designed to collect, share and eat. The new bars are set to launch this summer, nationwide, for a limited-time only in both standard 1.55-oz. bars.

The new Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Emoji Bar has an emoji for every emotion, designed to offer a fun way for kids to connect with others, whether on the first day of school or if they just moved to a new neighborhood.

Each one was carefully selected by parents and kids to feature meanings that would help to spark a conversation. Hershey said its research showed that 87% of kids agreed that the new Hershey’s emoji bar is something they would want to share with others.

The new emoji bars will available in the run up to back-to-school, while supplies last.

Hershey Co. has also taken the wraps off Kit Kat Duos Mint & Dark Chocolate, the brand’s first year-round flavor in almost a decade. It will hit shelves in December.

Featuring a mashup of two iconic flavors, the new Kit Kat variety will feature mint crème on the top and dark chocolate on the bottom, all surrounding the signature light and crispy wafers.

“Our fans in the U.S. have been requesting new Kit Kat flavors and we're excited to share we are adding to the Kit Kat family with the launch of Kit Kat Duos Mint & Dark Chocolate,” said Kit Kat's senior brand manager Christopher Kinnard. “But here’s the best part -- we are just getting started. Keep your eyes peeled; there is more to come from the Kit Kat brand.”

News of the Kit Kat line extension comes on the heels of the launch Reese’s Thins, which are 40% thinner than regular Reese’s, hit the market in March. 40.
