HERSHEY, PA -- Hershey Co. is adding a new flavor to its namesake portfolio for the fourth time in history -- Hershey's Gold Caramelized Creme Peanuts and Pretzels

The newest addition to the Hershey bar lineup is made with a caramelized creme and salty peanut and pretzel bits. It will be available starting Dec. 1 in standard size 1.4-oz. and king size 2.5-oz., with suggested retail price starting at 99¢ and $1.69, respectively.

The new product launch syncs up with the official 100-day countdown to the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea, and will be a permanent addition to the Hershey’s lineup.

Hershey launched its iconic milk chocolate bar in 1900, followed by Hershey's Special Dark chocolate in 1939. It wasn't until 1995, 56 years later, that the company introduced Hershey's Cookies 'n Creme. Hershey's Gold will be its first mass-market, golden creme confection in the U.S.

In the lead up to, and during the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Apolo Ohno, two-time Olympic Gold medalist, and Rico Roman, 2014 Paralympic Winter Games Gold medalist and 2018 Paralympic Hopeful, will serve as Team Hershey’s athletes and promote the new Hershey’s Gold bars. In addition, Simone Biles, five-time Olympic medalist, who joined Team Hershey’s in advance of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, will help debut the new flavor.
