PITTSBURGH, PA -- Western Pennsylvania amusement operator H. Lazar & Son recognized two long-time employees for 25 years of devoted service at a customer and employee appreciation dinner party here.

Honored were Alfred (Rocky) Rockymore, the company's moving and maintenance service specialist, and office manager Kathy Maslany. Both joined the company in 1992, and both have been exemplary team members.

President Dale Lazar, who emceed the festivity, paid tribute to their skills on the job and their remarkable ability to build rapport with customers. At the conclusion of his appreciative address, he presented each with a proclamation issued by Pittsburgh Mayor William Peluto, who declared August 17 to be "Alfred Rockymore Day" and "Katherine Maslaney Day."

Lazar also recognized the company's other staff members, introducing each in reverse order of seniority. "H. Lazar & Son is blessed to have arguably the finest employees of any coin-operated amusement business is the world," the third-generation operator said.

Lazar also thanked the company's customers, many of whom attended the dinner. Several of them have done business with H. Lazar & Son for four decades; one has been a client since 1965.

The evening was highlighted by an eight-foot-long ice sculpture bearing the inscription "Thank You" and a festive dinner enhanced by a mellow jazz trio and topped off with an ice cream bar.
