SAYREVILLE, NJ -- Coast to Coast Entertainment, based here, and China Star Games said they have granted exclusive distribution rights for the Friction gun game on Mainland China to Golden Dragon.

The deal strengthens the worldwide partnership between Coast to Coast and China Star Games, which announced in August an agreement that awarded China Star exclusive rights to Friction sales in Asia, South America, Russia and Poland. Under terms of the agreement, China Star has authorization to appoint sub-distributors in those markets. | SEE STORY

Golden Dragon Group, which was founded in 1989 and runs several divisions, is one of the largest amusement companies in Asia. It produces and sells more than 400 amusement machine models, and was among the first companies to open amusement centers in China in the mid-1990s. Founded in 2006, China Star Games has quickly developed into a leading amusement machine and parts manufacturer. Both companies are based in Zhongshan, China, a main region of development for amusement equipment.

Golden Dragon unveiled the long-awaited dedicated LCD cabinet for Friction at a recent GTI Expo, which was held Aug. 25-27 in Guangzhou, China. The deluxe cabinet package features a 42" screen and two full-size gun controls.

"The game had a tremendous showing at GTI Expo," said Coast to Coast's Gary Balaban. "By lining up eight of the new LCD units in a row, along with some beautiful models to assist, players enjoyed some nice gameplay action."

China Star's Candy Lin added, "This game is unique because it is not available on any home gaming system, so it's not something that has been seen before by the average home gamer."

China Star Games is shipping 500 Friction kits to Golden Dragon, which will assemble the same amount of LCD deluxe cabinets this month.

Coast to Coast is planning to show the Friction LCD model at the upcoming IAAPA Attractions Expo, which takes place Nov. 15-18 in Orlando, FL.

The Friction gun game is a coin-op implementation of a design developed by Friction Game Studio (Los Angeles), from which it takes its name. Coast to Coast, one of the nation's largest crane machine marketers, began selling Friction conversion kits in early 2011.
