Fritz Rolle, Jersey Shore DELRAY BEACH, FL -- Frederick J. "Fritz" Rolle III died at his home in Del Ray Beach, FL, on April 3. He was 65.

A lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore, Rolle was involved with numerous seaside businesses in several of New Jersey's most popular resort towns, most recently with Jenkinson's South in Point Pleasant Beach. A member of the board of directors of the New Jersey Amusement Association for more than 30 years, he served as that organization's president from 1992 to 1993. The association honored Rolle in 2012.

"The industry has lost an amusement icon," said NJAA president John Maurer, Coast to Coast Entertainment. "Very quietly, he made big steps in the sand and helped shape the Jersey Shore. Right now, just thinking of his smile, makes me smile. He'll be missed greatly."

He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Miller Rolle; two sisters, Patricia Bennett and Michele Bodeep; children, Kimberle Rolle Samarelli (married to James Samarelli), Rebecca Rolle and Frederick J. Rolle IV; and two grandchildren, Samantha and James Samarelli Jr.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a charitable donation be made to Give Kids the World, a nonprofit organization supporting children with life-threatening illnesses for which Rolle helped raise funds for many years. Give Kids the World may be contacted at (800) 995-KIDS or gktw.org.
