EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — Frank (the crank) Seninsky of Amusement Entertainment Management here reports that Foundations Entertainment University 2.0 will be presented at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel near Chicago’s O’Hare Airport from July 16 through 18. The three-day curriculum will cover all aspects of planning, designing, developing and operating a location-based entertainment business or /family entertainment center for long-term success.

Seninsky pointed out that Foundations is the longest-running FEC-focused training program, educating business newcomers and industry veterans, as well as entertainment suppliers, for more than 17 years. “We’ve seen over 1,500 graduates and more than 290 family entertainment centers complete the program,” he reported.

Registrants will tap into the more than 200 years of collective experience and expertise of six of the industry’s top consultants and operators to help eliminate the steep learning curve and avoid the mistakes of those attempting to find their own way in a complex-fast-changing business, Seninsky explained. “You’ll also have a lot of fun, including behind-the-scenes tours and time to network at an area family entertainment centers.”

Presenting to July’s Class #49 of FEU will be Seninsky himself; Jerry Merola, also of Amusement Entertainment Management; Frank Price, Birthday University; Doug Wilkerson - Dynamic Design; Kevin Williams, KWP Ltd.; and Peter Olesen, Entertainment Concepts. FEU also is welcoming two guest speakers: Sherry Howell, brand engagement director for CenterEdge Software and Jim Howell, president and cofounder of Perky’s Pizza.

FEU graduates are enthusiastic about the experience. “This seminar is something I think everyone in the family entertainment industry needs to attend,” said Chad Register, coowner of Adrenaline Entertainment Centers (FL, OH, PA and SC). “I wish I had done this two years ago, before I opened my facilities. There is no doubt about it, what Frank and his crew are teaching me is going to make me more profitable and successful. It’s a no brainer! You have to come to [Foundations].”

Patrick Meglio, Goat Entertainment and NBCI Trading LLC (South Riding, VA) concurred. "I am a business developer and I have been to many, many conventions over the years,” he said. “This seminar has been the most informative I have ever been involved with. If you have any interest in the family entertainment industry, this is the place you want to start your journey.”

Registration is $495 after July 1; those registering by the end of June will enjoy an early-bird discount of $100. Additional participants from the same company will receive a 50% discount.
