CHATTANOOGA, TN -- Five Star Food Service, a Canteen franchise based here, has entered a strategic partnership with G&J Marketing & Sales and LightSpeed Automation to outfit all 850-plus of its existing micromarkets and all future micromarket installations with a digital advertising screen and Vision device.

Through a new partnership formed late last year, G&J now represents LightSpeed's Vision digital advertising concept and offers additional services to bring promotional opportunities and content management to operators on the platform.

Five Star currently has a network of 140 LightSpeed Vision devices powering its screens and has had longstanding relationships with LightSpeed and G&J independent of one another. LightSpeed Automation, based in Atlanta, GA, specializes in warehouse automation, digital advertising, inventory management, online ordering and cold food management. G&J is a nationwide distributor of products for the vending, OCS and micromarket channels.

"We are thrilled to be partnering with two progressive industry leaders in G&J and LightSpeed," said Five Star chief revenue officer Greg McCall. "We believe that digital marketing is the next evolution of our robust promotional platform. Digital ads will be used to build awareness for new products, increase purchase frequency, and drive participation in corporate programs. Our roadmap projects having 1,000 screens deployed by the end of summer."

Five Star Food Service, founded in 1993, is a leader in micromarkets, full-service vending, coffee services, full-service dining and catering across Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Kentucky.
