EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -- Foundations Entertainment University creator and owner Frank (the Crank) Seninsky reports that the institution's first-ever program in the United Kingdom was extremely successful. A streamlined one-day version of the comprehensive location-based entertainment training course was presented in conjunction with this year's EAG International Expo and Visitor Attraction Expo in London, and attracted 37 registrants from Europe and the Near East.

The participants came from the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Spain, Belgium, Greece Italy, and the United States. They gathered to learn how to grow their games and family attractions businesses. Nine Foundations University sponsors also presented short sessions: Platinum sponsors Embed, US Bowling and Betson, and Gold sponsors Creative Works and Galaxy Multi Rides). Kevin Williams and Frank Price were the speakers, covering all of the major topics.

"'Absolutely amazing' was the reaction, as such a large group was not anticipated," Seninsky said. "I closed the registration at 30, but people continued to register up to the midnight January 16 – and there were several walk-ins."

Seninsky attributed the scale of the success to the enthusiastic assistance of the hosts and sponsors. He extended thanks to EAG organizers Karen Cooke and Roland Connor, Swan Events; James Miller, the president of the British Amusement Catering Trade Association (BACTA); James Frost, the president of the European Gaming and Amusement Federation (Euromat);  James Anderson of Namco UK; Marty Man Smith and Lester Travasso of Sega Amusements; and Rosa Tahmaseb and Saeed Abdillahi from Embed International's Dubai (UAE) headquarters for getting the word out throughout Europe about the FEU EAG event, and encouraging operators to attend.

"It should be noted that Embed sponsored the lunch, and I am most grateful for everyone's support," the industry veteran continued. "Also, bless Frank Price of Birthday University and Kevin Williams of kwp Ltd. for covering for me, as I was unable to attend due to a medical emergency." (Seninsky reports that he has recovered.)

The next presentation of the full Foundations Entertainment University 2.0 is scheduled for March 24 and 25 (Sunday and Monday), just prior to this year's Amusement Expo International. It will be conducted at the Las Vegas (NV) Convention Center.

2019 marks the 17th consecutive year of the Foundations Entertainment Industry program. It now has more than 1,480 graduates, and more than 280 family entertainment centers got their start with FEU.
