EVA Members Elect Officers, Directors For 2017-2019 Term At AGM

ROME, Italy -- The membership of the European Vending and Coffee Service Association held its Annual General Meeting here as 2017 drew to a close. The multinational association elected its leadership for the remainder of 2017 through 2019 during the AGM, which took place on the day before EVA’s increasingly popular European Vending Experience (EVEX) public industry showcase (see VT, December 2017). The 2017 EVEX was organized in cooperation with Italy’s national trade organization, the Associazione Italiana Distribuzione Automatica (CONFIDA).
 
Elected EVA president is Paolo Ghidotti of N&W Global Vending (now rebranded as Evoca). The executive committee now is made up of 14 members representing the segments of the vending and office refreshments industry in Europe.

Representing EVA’s national associations are Tony Smith, Automatic Vending Association, serving the UK and Ireland; Christian Mengus, chambre syndicale Nationale de Vente et Services Automatiques (NAVSA), France’s vending association; EVA vice-president-elect Aris Kaschefi, Bundesverband der Deutschen Vending-Automatenwirtschaft (BDV),  the German operators’ association; and Michele Adt, CONFIDA. Representing managing directors of national associations is Raúl Rubio Fleitas, Asociación Nacional Española de Distribuidores Automáticos (ANEDA), Spain’s national trade organization.

Representing the equipment manufacturing segment, which constitutes the European Vending Machine Manufacturers Association (EVMMA), is EVA president-elect Ghidotti. Representing Payment Systems and Vending Solutions is Jürgen Göbel, Ingenico. Representing Ingredient Suppliers is Davide Celin of Lavazza.

Representing operators are Eric Overbeek, Selecta (international operators); Boris Belotserkovsky, Uvenco (Northern Europe); Marcin Przybyo, Automatspec (Eastern Europe); and EVA first vice-president Xavier Arquerons, Alliance Vending (Southern Europe).

Representing water solutions is Alberto Giavoni. Brita Group; representing office coffee service is EVA treasurer-elect Maurits de Jong, de Jong Duke; and representing cup suppliers is Massimo Daolio, FLO s.p.a.

EVA director general Erwin Wetzel congratulated the new president and executive committee, and wished them well as they set the strategic direction of the association over the next two years.
