BRUSSELS, Belgium -- The European Vending Association has published the details of the program for its upcoming EurOps conference, which is set for Estoril, Portugal, on April 14 and 15. Estoril is a coastal resort near Lisbon.

The goal of the conference is to offer European operators a comprehensive overview of the contemporary vending environment on the continent. A diverse group of experienced vendors has been recruited to lead the discussions. The program is organized into three parts: Efficiencies, Opportunities and Financial Management, and the operators presenting in each are innovators in these areas.

The first part will be covered by Balázs Szöllözi, Trimatic (Hungary); Paulo Carlos from Vending Portugal (Portugal), Roberto Franza, IVS Italia (Italy), Carlos Oderiz, Serventa (Spain), and Francesc Güell, TPC Netgrup (Spain). This section will explore improvements in efficiency that can be attained through better route planning and scheduling, preventive maintenance, sales forecasting, fleet management, staff training and improved security to reduce losses.

The second segment will probe new opportunities for vendors; the presenters are Giorgia Scattolin, Scattolin Distribuzione Automatica (Italy), Roberto Pace, Gedac Vending (Italy), and Jacek Czauderna, Hello Vending (Poland), all of whom have implemented new concepts and getting good results with them. These innovations include new types of machine to extend the variety of equipment on location; technological advances such as touchscreen selection and a wider range of payment systems, and new sources of income for vending operators.

The third part of the program will feature a presentation by Javier Arquerons, Gedemasa (Spain), on dealing with the increasing cost of commodities, and a more technical discussion of managing cash flow, to be presented by an expert who will be announced soon.

To wrap up the EurOps program, EVA director-general Catherine Piana will provide a preview of the legislative challenges that the vending industry is likely to confront in the years ahead. The conference will be facilitated by EVA's acclaimed moderator, Alex Puissant, who is celebrated for his skill at encouraging lively participation in the conversations and debates that result from the presentations. It will be interpreted multilingually, with translations offered in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

EVA extends its thanks to Rheavendors Group as its Titanium sponsor, which is sponsoring the conference, the concluding dinner and a musical evening aboard an excursion boat cruising in Lisbon's harbor. The "Image of Vending" award also will be presented on the final evening.

The EVA is also extends its gratitude to N&W as the conference's Platinum sponsor, patron of the conference and the cocktail reception on the evening of April 14. To enhance the business sessions on April 15, participants will have the opportunity to network with their colleagues during leisure events and at the coffee breaks, which will be hosted in the exhibit area. This hall will display the latest equipment from the event's sponsors, as well as some of the international magazines with whom the EVA has agreed on a press partnership for EurOps: D.A. Italia (Italy), Vending Report (Germany) and Mundo Vending (Spain).
