DUBAI, U.A.E. -- Embed reports that it has completed its systems installations in the newly opened Fun City entertainment center in Salalah, Oman. The center, in Salalah’s Oasis Mall, is owned by Landmark Leisure. It is Fun City’s 50th store, located in the second-largest city in the Sultanate of Oman.

Embed’s involvement includes 44 award-winning smartTouch readers, two point-of-sale “Sales” modules and two “Prizes” modules. Embed explained that its integrated solution allows Fun City to focus on its guests while running the business with ease, delivering a seamless experience to its customers.

“Embed’s integrated solutions and services have been created to help our operators take their business to the next level,” said Embed solutions group chief executive Renee Welsh. “One of the benefits of our platform is that it’s modular, so if you are a business with multi-locations, you can have real-time visibility and control across your entire operation, counting on us to support you anytime, anywhere.”

Landmark Leisure, the entertainment division of the Landmark Group, was founded in 1999 with its flagship brand, Fun City. Since then, it has been the best-recognized family entertainment brand across Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and adjacent nations, catering to children from one to 12 years old. The company’s brands encourage children to learn while they play, taking part in a variety of activities focused on their growth and development.

Fun City observes that it has been spreading smiles over the past 15 year across its more than 80 play locations in the U.A.E., Bahrain, the KSA, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and India by providing a platform to children for social interactions and active play in a safe, secure and conveniently accessed location.

Embed, a leader in cashless business management systems for the leisure industry, grew out of the technology and processes developed by Leisure & Allied Industries (Perth Australia) for its own pioneering family entertainment centers. These became the Timezone chain in 1978. The LAI Group launched the Embed business unit in the 1990s, along with sister company LAI Games. It added the Locker Network, specializing in guest storage solutions, in 2013. A year later, the three business units became Helix Leisure. In 2017, Helix acquired Booking Boss, and now can provide integrated hardware and software solutions for every aspect of the family entertainment and attractions industry.
