LONDON -- The organizers of this year's EAG International and VAE report a sharp increase in the number of exhibitors for the 2018 event. The dual show, scheduled for Jan. 16-18 at the Exhibition Centre London (ExCeL) in this historic city's Docklands, is sponsored by the British Amusement Catering Trades Association (BACTA) with the support of the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA). It combines BACTA's European Amusement & Gaming International show and BALPPA's Visitor Attraction Expo.

Organizer Karen Cooke has reported a sharp increase in the number of exhibitors at the 2018 event. "The level of interest from potential exhibitors has increased dramatically," she said. "We've already signed up 11 first-time exhibitors and we're in discussions with several more."

Among new exhibitors at the 2018 EAG  will be Cogan Kiddie Rides, Funshare Game, Game Fun, Grupo Famai, Home Leisure Direct, Industrias Lorenzo, Nayax, Popppy UK, Sano UK, TAB Austria and VR Acquisitions Ltd.

"We're particularly pleased that more than half of our new exhibitors are from overseas, hailing from as far away as China and the USA, Cooke added." "They will be showcasing products from a wide range of categories including health and safety equipment, components, food and beverage equipment, software and systems as well as rides and amusement products. There is little doubt that the show is now appealing to the wider leisure community."

Popppy UK is the recently launched UK division of the German fresh-popcorn vending system manufacturer. "We have a unique popcorn which is both fat-free and suitable for vegans," said Popppy UK director Nikolaus Plange. "We're looking forward to presenting our vending proposition to visitors to the show." The Popppy system will be on display in Booth 359.

Guangzhou-based games developer and manufacturer Funshare Game also will  make its UK debut at the show. The company explained that it's hoping to find a strong regional distributor to develop and expand its presence in Europe. The company will exhibit and demonstrate its amusement equipment in Booth 670.

Sano UK is a manufaacturer of materials handling equipment, including a line of powered stair-climbing handtrucks. Managing director Peter Simmons explained that the company will exhibit a range of compact high-capacity load carriers, designed to increase productivity and enhance safety in many environments. They'll be showcased in Booth 330.

The event's sponsors emphasize that EAG International and VAE take place right at the start of the New Year, an ideal time to catch up with colleagues and to discover new products that could make a real difference to an operation.
